Thank you so much Cherry and everyone for so much new learning, wonderful
new pastime (& now being able to do blanket stitch- my slip knots still a
bit dodgy), and best weeks sleep I’ve had in the last 5 years.

bring the other chair or the sofa?
Cat is already enjoying the chair despite the fact it has no back yet-

I wanted to thank you for organising such an excellent course last week.  All my expectations were certainly exceeded.  The course itself was very very good and I did enjoy Dawn’s enthusiasm and encouragement, and thank you for all the help you gave me.  Thank you also for all the lovely food you provided so effortlessly and the afternoon treats.

I don’t imagine I shall ever be an expert quilter, but I will definitely enjoy trying to get there!

Just to thank you once again for a wonderful week. I learned so much and it was a lovely group where everyone was so generous not only in sharing their knowledge but constantly offering words of encouragement. I loved listening to all your tips and learning different techniques. The only downside was the week went too quickly. What a wonderful place Lilac Barn is. New Tutor

I am delighted that Rachel Lewis has decided to join the team at Lilac Barn and is  the new tutor for Curtains and Blinds this Autumn. Rachel is a very experienced curtain maker having her own business in Taunton.

Jackie Fisher is joining the team in September teaching Dressmaking for beginners, a new 10 week course .

Patchwork and Quilting course with Dawn Cameron-Dick

I would like to thank you both for a lovely week.  I feel that I learnt so much in a group of like minded people.

What a luxury to spend a week with your sewing machine getting excellent advice, being able to carry on with your own project and learn so many new techniques and skills! Jeanette

I had the most amazing time at Lilac Barn and both Wendy and yours truly may well ‘darken your doorstep’ again in the not too distant future.

The lunches were brilliant and so nice that everyone sat together which allowed us to get to no each other. It was a super atmosphere and we came away with a lot more knowledge and confidence than we arrived with. Christine

Another very successful week was held in the studio with Dawn. Students

commented that they had learnt far more than expected in a perfect light, airy and

spacious studio.

Would have stayed longer if possible, had loads of inspiration, and enjoyed the

friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Lunches were delicious and the afternoon

cake a treat!

They would all like to return and recommend the course to friends.

Hello Cherry,
Just a little note to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the lampshade making course with Helen. I have already got a lamp base for it and it is in use already! It looks great.
