About The Course

The Courses are  for beginners or those with experience .

Workshops will include basic techniques such as learning about your machine, rotary cutting and piecing, but also Threaducation, IMA ( Dawn’s speciality), Machine and Hand quilting. Thread Play, Borders and Bindings and Project days such as “make a Bag”.

Tired of sewing day in and out on your own then come and enjoy the company of other quilters, have expert tuition in the studio and eat home cooked lunches. What could be more idyllic!

The workshops can be tailored to students individual needs and include advice on threads, needles and also how to get the best from your sewing machine. Students should contact Dawn prior to the course so that she has details of the workshops you would like to learn during the week and the supplies that you need.

Free parking, no hectic airport queues, no lost luggage!

You are welcome to come for a day, a few days or the whole week the course is suitable for for all, we can all learn more! Students will be able to sew as much or as little as they please…you are here to enjoy yourself and take in the ambiance of the Somerset Levels and all that it offers. Beginners are very welcome as are those with experience, we try to cater the course to the individual.

Outings can be made to Quilting shops, or local attractions…Wells Cathedral, Street (factory outlets) Glastonbury and its Abbey or the local Willow and Basket Centre.

Places are limited which allows plenty of room for cutting, design, and ironing boards. A great way to make new friends
