I am delighted that Rachel Lewis has decided to join the team at Lilac Barn and is the new tutor for Curtains and Blinds this Autumn. Rachel is a very experienced curtain maker having her own business in Taunton.
Jackie Fisher is joining the team in September teaching Dressmaking for beginners, a new 10 week course .

Patchwork and Quilting course with Dawn Cameron-Dick
I would like to thank you both for a lovely week. I feel that I learnt so much in a group of like minded people.
What a luxury to spend a week with your sewing machine getting excellent advice, being able to carry on with your own project and learn so many new techniques and skills! Jeanette
I had the most amazing time at Lilac Barn and both Wendy and yours truly may well ‘darken your doorstep’ again in the not too distant future.
The lunches were brilliant and so nice that everyone sat together which allowed us to get to no each other. It was a super atmosphere and we came away with a lot more knowledge and confidence than we arrived with. Christine
Another very successful week was held in the studio with Dawn. Students
commented that they had learnt far more than expected in a perfect light, airy and
spacious studio.
Would have stayed longer if possible, had loads of inspiration, and enjoyed the
friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Lunches were delicious and the afternoon
cake a treat!
They would all like to return and recommend the course to friends.
Brenda has worked on this suite of furniture for several months…her choice of fabric is amazing and very imaginative. She is always willing to do the alternative when faced with a problem, the result often exciting!
Ali Wells is joining the Lilac Barn team of tutors. She is a fashion designer and will be teaching courses in knitting, redesigning your wardrobe and learning more about your sewing machine.
