New Tutor and Courses

Ali Wells is joining the Lilac Barn team of tutors. She is a fashion designer and will be teaching courses in knitting, redesigning your wardrobe and learning more about your sewing machine.

Upholstery Course

Flood report

Maybe January will be dryer but at the moment the A 361 still closed at

Burrowbridge, best route to Taunton is via A 358.

Road from Curry Rivel at the bottom of Red Hill still flooded as is the road from

Huntworth through Moorland.

Studio remained dry..amazing!

Patchwork week with Dawn

We have had another very successful week with Dawn Cameron-Dick as tutor.

Beginner students learnt many new skills, including  rotary cutting  and piecing

fabric correctly, machine and hand quilting and applique, what needles and threads

to use and how to assemble a quilt. More experienced students worked on projects

already started receiving  professional advice on quilting and applique.
